ROBLOX Sells Out This Year for Bloxgiving

bloxgivingfeat
Ah, Bloxgiving. The ROBLOX Holiday closely modeled after Thanksgiving. Except this year, instead of giving, ROBLOX will be taking.

For those of you who have stayed with the ROBLOX community for a long time, you will likely remember the days when events were almost never integrated with mainstream ROBLOX activity. Sure, there was the occasional map or item made especially for a sponsor, but you certainly didn't get sponsored holidays.

This year, however, ROBLOX is determined to milk some money out of the holidays, a time when people should be celebrating. Instead of getting in the spirit of the holidays, it has this year, decided to get into the spirit of greed.

"ROBLOX needs the money to run its business," some will claim. This is simply not true. ROBLOX is getting more money than ever, with up to hundreds of thousands players daily, each of whom generates money for ROBLOX by viewing forced advertisements.

ROBLOX has also removed the feature of buying Builders Club for life, choosing instead, to make users pay monthly or yearly fee, that if not cancelled, will be continually charged on the credit card used to apply.

Furthermore, Builders Club prices have gone up, while Robux received daily has gone down, forcing people to pay more to get the same amount of in-game money they used to get. Add that to the paid audio submissions and inflated shirt and pants prices, and you will have a difficult time figuring out why they had to have a sponsor for Bloxgiving.

It just doesn't add up. Unless they are only in this for the money.

Happy Bloxgiving everyone.

The Removal of Tix: A Look Back

ROBLOX removed their free currency "Tix" in 2016 Logging in every day to get free money, who wouldn't want that? ROBLOX used to award players 10 tickets, or "Tix" as they were abbreviated, for logging in every day to use to buy hats, clothing, and gear. However, as the game grew in popularity, the folks at ROBLOX began seeing less and less of a reason to reward people for logging in. "The games are what will bring them," they thought. Were they right?
